OISÍn Kearney
Oisín Kearney is an award-winning director who works across new plays and adaptations of classics.
His recent work includes My Right Foot (Dublin Theatre Festival 2025), Good With Faces (Dublin Fringe 2025), Lie Low by Ciara Elizabeth Smyth (Royal Court, Traverse, Abbey 2023), an adaptation of The Tragedy of Richard III (Lyric Theatre Belfast; Winner of The Stage Judge's Award 2025), and My Left Nut (Lustrum Award, Edinburgh Fringe 2018), which he developed into a 3-part BBC Three series with co-writer Michael Patrick.
Oisín was resident Assistant Director at the Lyric Belfast from 2019 - 2020 and has written and directed for stage, radio, and screen, including directing a feature documentary on the Colombian war - BOJAYÁ, which premiered at Hot Docs Film Festival in Toronto in April 2019.
In 2025, he was invited to the National Theatre Directors Course, was awarded an NT Peter Shaffer Commission, and wrote and directed two short films: So You’re Going to Die (Starring Jimmy Nesbit and Conor MacNeill, produced by Two Cities) and HELPLESS (Starring George Robinson, Saoirse Monica Jackson and Éanna Hardwicke, produced by BBC and Fabel).
