Headlong is seeking a new Chair of the Board of Trustees.
We make bold, ground-breaking productions with some of the UK’s finest artists. We take these industry-leading, award-winning shows around the country and beyond, in theatres and online, attracting new audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
We are seeking a new Chair of the Board of Trustees to join the company in spring 2023. We are looking for an individual who can lead the company as we plan for the future, and who can develop our thinking alongside Headlong’s new executive leadership team.
Headlong is constantly evolving in order to both reflect and affect the rapidly changing world in which we live. It is critical that our work, and those who make it, reflect the diversity of contemporary UK, and this is an integral part of our artistic vision.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have previously been underrepresented at Headlong and in the theatre industry due to the experience of barriers linked to ethnicity, class, disability, gender, geography, sexuality, age and religion.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 5pm on Wednesday 15th February 2023.
First round interviews are scheduled for w/c 6th March 2023, preferably in person in central London, with second interviews w/c 13th March 2023.
The successful candidate will be expected to join the Board meeting week commencing 27th March 2023 as an observer, with their appointment formally ratified at the following Board meeting week commencing 12th June 2023.
